Zambana tells a story of rebirth through its two faces: the ancient one of Zambana Vecchia, at the foot of the majestic Paganella, and the contemporary one that has been able to preserve unique traditions. This hamlet of Terre d'Adige preserves precious testimonies of the past, such as the Church of Saints Filippo and Giacomo, survived the ancient landslides and protected by an imposing embankment, and the modern Church of Maria Mater Dei, consecrated in 1973.
The area is famous for a true gastronomic excellence: the White Asparagus brand De.Co., which finds here its ideal habitat thanks to the sandy soils formed by the confluence of the river Adige and stream Noce. In spring, the fields turn into a mosaic of white stripes between the apple orchards, creating a unique spectacle.
Sportsmen can choose between different experiences: from the Crag of Zambana Vecchia, perfect for climbing all year round with easy access and variety of routes, to the Giro Rotaliana Adige by bike of 36 kilometers that crosses villages, vineyards and orchards. The White Asparagus trail offers a walk of 7 kilometers, ideal for families, to discover this millenary cultivation that represents the agricultural soul of the territory.
